If you plan on going to college, you may need to take both the SAT and ACT exams. These exams provide universities with detailed information on the knowledge you have on several specific subjects, helping them make the decision to accept your application or not. If your goal is to get into a specific university, you may want to do the best you possibly can when taking these exams. Even if you are feeling a bit nervous, there are different things you can do to ensure that you are getting higher scores on these exams.

Print Out Online Study Sheets

It is easy to find free printable study sheets online for both the SAT and the ACT. You should print some of these sheets out and practice them at home in your spare time, checking your answers when you have finished with the sheets to see how many questions you answered correctly and how many answers were wrong. Mark the sheet with the wrong answers so that you are aware of what you need more help with, and then focus on studying those aspects of the exam so that you can focus on getting those answers correct the next time around.

Hire a Personal Tutor

Hire someone to help you study, such as a personal tutor who has experience with the SAT and ACT exams. The personal tutor may be someone who scored exceptionally well on these exams and is now prepared to help others do the same. Working with a tutor for a few hours each week could make such a difference for you because the tutor can help you review different subjects, create practice quizzes to test your knowledge, use flashcards, and ultimately explain things to you when you need help and are feeling stumped on certain questions.

Start a Group Study Session With Friends

Get your friends involved to make studying fun. If some of your friends are planning to take these exams, you should invite them over and start a group study session where everyone in the group can collaborate, share notes, quiz one another, and gather more information over time. You do not have to do the study group all the time, but it would be nice to do it once a week for two or three hours.

If you want to get the best scores possible on the SAT and ACT exams, you should start printing out online study sheets, take part in SAT ACT tutoring, and start a group study session where you and your friends can study together. Even if you currently feel nervous, it is still possible to get excellent scores on these exams if you are studying ahead of time.
